Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

General Condition: All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Petroleum and Geothermal Technology (JPGT) must be original work, not been previously published, and must be submitted exclusively to this journal. All papers submitted will be subjected to peer and/or editorial review. Rejected papers will not be returned to the authors.

Language: All manuscripts must be written in English.

Format : Manuscripts should be typewritten with Microsoft Word and have minimum 3500 words. 

Organization of Manuscripts: The manuscripts should be organized under suitable order such as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Result and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.

Title Page and Authorship: The title page should contain: title of article, no more than 2 rows. Put the full name of author, name (s) of institution (s), address and email of author on the next row bellow the title directly.

Abstract and Keywords: Limit abstract 200 words, one paragraph, and should comprise informative essence of the entire content of the article. Abstrac should be prepared in Indonesian or English. Select 3-5 keywords and put the below the abstract directly. Both of abstract and keywords should be typewritten in Times New Roman at 10-font size and single-spaced. Table: Title of tables and all necessary remarks should be typewritten in English. Table should be numbered. The uses of comma (,) and point (.) in all figures in the table indicate a decimal fraction, and a thousand multiplication, respectively.

Result and Discussion content must be around 50% of the total article words.

Line Drawing: Graphics and other line drawing illustractions should be drawn in high resolution. Each drawing should be numbered, titled and supllied with necessary remarks in Indonesian or English.

Photograph: Photograph submitted should have high resolution should be supplied wih necessary information as for line drawing.

Reference: Reference should be written based on APA Style 7th Edition, such as the following Example:

Attachments are included at the end of the paper. Attachments can be in the form of maps, calculation results, diagrams, and tables.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
