FASIES FLUVIAL FORMASI LEMAT, DAERAH LUBUK LAWAS, KECAMATAN BATANG ASAM, KABUPATEN TANJUNG JABUNG BARAT, PROVINSI JAMBI

Abstract


Secara geografis daerah penelitian terletak pada koordinat (UTM-WGS84 zona 48 S) 270250-273350mT dan 9874380mU. Sedangkan secara administratif daerah penelitian masuk ke dalam wilayah Kecamatan Batang Asam, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat, Provinsi Jambi. Berdasarkan analisis aspek-aspek geomorfologi pada daerah penelitian dibagi menjadi lima satuan bentuk lahan, antara lain satuan bentuk lahan perbukitan sesar bergelombang (S1), perbukitan homoklin berlereng miring (S2), perbukitan homoklin berlereng landai (S3), tubuh sungai (F1), gosong tepi sungai (F2). Stratigrafi daerah penelitian dapat dibagi menjadi enam satuan batuan dari tua ke muda yaitu Satuan Metabatupasir Mentulu, Satuan Batupasir-kuarsa Lemat, Satuan Konglomerat Lemat, Satuan Batupasir-kerikilan Lemat, Satuan batulanau Benakat. Struktur yang berkembang pada daerah penelitian berupa kekar dengan tegasan baratlaut-tenggara dan timurlaut- baratdaya. Terdapat tiga pola sesar yaitu sesar berarah timurlaut-baratdaya, sesar yang berarah baratlaut-tenggara, dan sesar yang relatif berarah barat barat laut-timur tenggara. Analisis fasies dilakukan pada masing-masing satuan batuan Formasi Lemat. Satuan Batupasir-kuarsa Lemat dijumpai elemen arsitektural berupa channel (CH), sand bedform (SB), floodplain (FF), lateral accretion (LA). Satuan Konglomerat Lemat dijumpai elemen arsitektural sediment gravity flows (SG) dan gravel bar (GB), sand bedform (SB). Satuan Batupasir-kerikilan Lemat dijumpai elemen channel (CH), lateral accretion (LA), dan floodplain (FF), sedangkan pada Satuan Batulanau Benakat dijumpai elemen abandoned channel FF(CH).
